Printmaking

Landscapes Whisper Temporary Sounds
is a handmade book, created using linocut, typesetting, and a traditional book printing machine. All techniques were explored for the first time, which made the process both exciting and intimidating, especially when sharing something made while still learning.

The methods were chosen out of a desire to explore something new, with a particular fascination for the tactile and meditative nature of book printing. The repetitive act of printing each page brought a surprising sense of calm, and daily hours in the studio became something to look forward to.

The book reflects on the concept of duality by contrasting softness and solidity, like the way water shapes stone. How strange that water is so adaptable yet also manages to shape the landscapes we see today.

Intuition played a central role in the making. The linocut process, with no way to undo mistakes, required letting go of rigid expectations and responding to the material as it was. The result is a collection shaped as much by process as by intention.
